About Sofía

We are a proudly Latin American startup, but because we want to reach the whole world we share most of our internal communication and knowledge in English. This is why this section will not be in Spanish, although we love both languages.

About the role

As a Providers Associate on our Medical Network team, you’ll play a critical role in expanding and maintaining our network of healthcare providers and doctors, ensuring our members receive the best care possible. You’ll be the bridge between Sofía and our providers, making sure their experience reflects the excellence we aim to deliver to our members.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a fast-growing, mission-driven company and directly impact how we connect with healthcare professionals.

What you'll do

  • Manage relationships with existing healthcare providers, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Expand the network by onboarding new hospitals, clinics and other medical providers aligned with Sofía’s standards.
  • Onboard new providers into the network, guiding them through the process and ensuring a seamless integration.
  • Maintain and update provider documentation, contracts, and key data with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Optimize workflows and processes to enhance efficiency in the Providers team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges and implement solutions.
  • Ensure provider queries and issues are resolved promptly, maintaining a high level of satisfaction.
  • Develop strategies to grow Sofía’s network of providers, identifying key partners and negotiating agreements aligned with our mission.
  • Assist in negotiating pricing agreements or discounts with providers to benefit Sofía’s members.
  • Identify and implement improvements to internal processes, reducing manual work and increasing scalability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as Payments, Operations, and Customer Support, to streamline provider-related workflows and enhance efficiency.

What we're looking for

  • You should understand the dynamics of managing healthcare providers, including maintaining accurate data, contract management, and stakeholder communication. Familiarity with the healthcare or medical services industry is very important, and algo to have a strong capacity for learning and adapting.
  • Exceptional organizational and synthesis skills. You will be managing and optimizing complex provider data and relationships. If you are someone who thrives in creating order out of complexity and enjoys improving processes, you’ll love this role.
  • Highly proactive and motivated. You’re passionate about making a difference in healthcare, take ownership of your work, and don’t wait for instructions to move forward. You’re always looking for ways to add value, improve efficiency, and enhance quality, while being eager to learn and grow.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities. You excel in communication and collaboration, fostering trust and mutual understanding with providers and internal teams. You understand that long-term partnerships require empathy, active listening, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy. You’re meticulous when it comes to managing documentation, contracts, and provider data. Errors don’t escape your eye, and you take pride in delivering precise and reliable work.
  • Operational problem-solver. You enjoy tackling challenges, optimizing workflows, and finding creative ways to improve efficiency in day-to-day operations.
  • Collaborative team player. You value working with others, communicate effectively, and believe that teamwork is the key to achieving extraordinary outcomes.

Bonus points if:
