About the role

As a Data Scientist at Sofía, your primary focus will be on leveraging analytics to drive insights that enhance our health services. You will be at the forefront of using data and large language models (LLMs) to influence strategic decisions across the company.

What you'll do

• Analyze complex datasets to extract insights that inform business decisions and improve our health services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that track key performance indicators.
• Utilize LLMs to perform and enhance data analysis.
• Apply machine learning models to solve real-world problems and improve our services.
• Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• 3-5 years of experience in data science roles.
• Demonstrated ability to use LLMs in analytics to drive insights.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Passion for crafting data visualizations that help people understand complex nuances in datasets.

Bonus points if:

• You have a strong understanding of LLMs
• You have a background in healthcare, health insurance, or a related field
• Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, etc.).
• You have applied machine learning models in a production environment.
• You have experience with dbt for data transformation.
